Information for PRACTITIONERS

As Governments around the world awaken to the global skills deficit, training providers have a crucial role to play in shaping and improving vocational education and training in their respective countries.  The City & Guilds Centre for Skills Development works with practitioners to enable them to build strong networks and share best practice.

Learning and skills must be available to people from all social backgrounds, regardless of wealth or geographic location; this is fundamental for countries to be able to maintain a competitive edge in the emerging global market.

Practitioners are fundamental to governments’ and businesses’ ability to provide the right training for their labour markets.  By bringing together the diverse stakeholders involved in skills development, the City & Guilds Centre for Skills Development aims to help shape policy and strategy to effect positive change in the sector.  Operating on an international level, we offer a valuable source of current thinking and the opportunity to network with other practitioners.
