WHAT WE DO

We have three main areas of activity:

Click on the links above for more information.

Our work is based on four strategic priorities identified by employers, training providers and practitioners in our international research project -Skills Development: Attitudes and Perceptions

Matching supply and demand:
We are committed to investigating ways of accurately forecasting and balancing the supply of skills with demand. Acheiving this balance is crucial to economic and social prosperity.

Achieving employer engagement:
To make sure skills policy and programmes meet public needs, we facilitate links between employers, practitioners, and governments, giving key stakeholders an active role in the design and implementation of skills development .

Improving access to quality training:
We want to ensure that learners across the globe are given the best possible preparation for work. By highlighting and advocating models of good practice we help equip people with the knowhow to deliver the high quality skills and training that learners and businesses need.

Improving perceptions of vocational education and training:
Perceptions of vocational education and training vary widely internationally. We work to raise awareness of the proven benefits of vocational training, and to improve the esteem in which training is held.
